Just glow with it
Housebound beauty tips to ensure silky-soft, glowing skin and healthy hair with items you’ll find in your kitchen.
Scrub up: Olive oil and Sea Salt Scrub:
Not just for seasoning, olive oil and sea salt work magically together on your skin. Not only will the salt exfoliate (remove dead skin cells) but the oil will moisturise your body at the same time.
How to do it: Work on a ratio two (salt) to one (olive oil). Apply the mixture all over your body, standing in a shower (water off) and gently massage for a few minutes. Rinse with cool water. Moisturise as per usual.
Face the day: Yoghurt and Lemon Face mask.
A simple mask for stunning results. Not only do both yoghurt and lemon moisturise the skin and improve the overall texture, they also help remove blemishes and brighten skin tone. Additionally the Vitamin C in the lemon can help protect the skin from UV damage.
How to do it: Mix a tablespoon of fresh, plain yoghurt with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and mix thoroughly. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water, moisturise as per usual.
Not a hair out of place: Avo and Egg Hair mask
Want to keep your tresses healthy and shiny? Avo go at this then… Avocados are rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals, all essential for healthy hair, while the egg adds restorative protein.
How to do it: Remove the flesh of a ripe avocado from its skin and mash with one egg. Apply to wet hair. Leave on for at least 20 minutes, then rinse several times.
